Dr. Shale Demuth grew up in Minnesota and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelors degree in Neuroscience and a minor in creative writing. She escaped the cold weather to obtain her doctorate degree at Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. 

After optometry school, Dr. Demuth completed a residency in Low Vision Rehabilitation and Ocular Disease at Southern Arizona VA Health Care System. 

As a low vision doctor, Dr. Demuth is passionate about helping patients achieve their best ability to function and adapt to vision loss so they can remain independent and continue the activities they enjoy.
